Skip King (Quarter Horse)

Threehills Skip King is a super handsome 16hh, 8 year old, Dun Roan Registered AQHA Gelding. Threehills has been started on both ends of the roping dummy, he tracks it very well and he has been pasture roped on. I had him on a ranch in Missouri where there are 250 longhorns and used Threehills to catch and doctor some of the calves in the pasture. He really knows how to do his job! I had him out crossing a very swift river that was up to the breast collar on him and even with the strong current pushing him, he stayed calm and eased on through it. He has been ridden across an obstacle course and done well with that. Whether its pool noodles, tarps, tires, teetertotter or bicycles Threehills has a calm nature. He is a do it all kind of horse! I bought him off the gentleman who had owned him since was a yearling. This gentleman was in his 70s and broke him all himself and Threehills had been his personal horse for the last 6 years. He said his grandkids had rode him, took him swimming and ridden him in a couple parades. He had also been used at the rodeo to carry the flag for the grand entry. Threehills has been trail ridden in several states, done good sorting cows, pasure ropes… you name it and he can do it! He will cross creeks, ditches, logs and navigate rough rocky areas. He is safe riding in traffic safe. He has one of the smoothest lopes that you will set on and a good handle as well! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed.
